I'd really like to just do a bit of a rant here, because something has started to really bother me. I was going to talk about V2 coupons, but then came across something that really got me going. So, pardon me for digressing from my original intent.

Back in the days when I was a smoker, I could DEFINITELY understand why cities and towns or whole entire states would ban the smoking of tobacco in public places. It's a health hazard for anyone standing or in the vicinity of second-hand smoke. EVERYONE knows the hazards of second-hand smoke! (BTW, Here is a link to the lung association's website there that will tell you all about it, so I don't have to repeat myself. http://www.lung.org/stop-smoking/about-smoking/health-effects/secondhand-smoke.html)

So, sure, I get it. It didn't bother me. I knew that, as a smoker, while it was my right to smoke, others had the right to NOT breathe in my smoke.

But, nowadays, I DON'T smoke anymore! I vape. Yes, that's right. I became one of the many people who gave up the standard butts for the electronic version. Then, I noticed the backlash on THAT! And, it's not even smoke! While people like SBI Council are trying to create a helpful platform, and advocate for people like me, there are still a bunch of people (or groups) that don't like the e-cig alternative either. In this article here about THIS town in Oklahoma they have banned the use of e-cigs. And, for BOTH indoors AND outdoors (but not on the sidewalks).

There is one person cited in the article (by the name of Jennifer Lepard, who is apparently the tobacco use and prevention manager for the state) who says - seriously - that "the nicotine juice is made in “someone's home lab, not a hospital lab.”" Oy. Really?? So, if I buy my e-juice from a huge company that's owned by Big Tobacco - such as Lorillard (who bought the e-cig brand "blu" and who owns Newport) - you're going to tell me that they make their nicotine juice at one of their employees' homes? C'mon Jennifer... get some facts straight!

I'm sure there are cottage industries making e-juice. But to make an assumption like that is ill-informed at best. Anyway, it will be interesting to see where this whole rabbit hole leads to. Stay tuned.
